Edward Gordon - Retrofit Programme Manager, Repowering London

Gordon oversees delivery of Repowering’s active domestic retrofit portfolio. A Civil Engineer by trade, he also has decades of experience working and volunteering in community development and is also a community energy investor. Outside of Repowering, he is a well-known and respected active citizen and community organiser.

Howard Cox - Senior Software Developer, Scene

Howard is a Lead Software Engineer at Scene, working on systems for gathering open/public data about and modelling energy for buildings and communities.

Alex Whitcroft - Director, KIN

Alex is an award-winning Architect and sustainability expert. They are a co-director of KIN – developers, architects, community-led housing enablers, and sustainability consultants, specialising in net zero carbon and Passivhaus homes.

They are passionate about creating environmentally and socially sustainable communities and homes – with their work spanning Passivhaus and net zero buildings, MMC construction innovation, community-led development, cradle-to-cradle design, digital platform design, and sustainability communications.

They are involved in sustainability advocacy and best practice guidance, including the Innovate UK funded Transform-ER project and LETI (a key contributor to the Climate Emergency Retrofit Guide), and regularly speaks on sustainable construction and community-led development

Lizzy Pettitt - Sustainability Advisor, XCO2

Lizzy Pettitt is a Sustainability Advisor and Chartered Engineer with experience across a wide range of complex buildings, from decarbonising food factories to unlocking retrofit for blocks of flats. Lizzy has a background in mechanical engineering, with experience working for an MEP contractor on a live construction site. She qualified as a Passivhaus Designer and transitioned into sustainability consultancy to influence design decisions at an earlier stage, and how they impact energy consumption, embodied carbon, and occupant comfort.

Lizzy is committed to supporting emerging engineers, serving as Chair of CIBSE YEN London and Vice-Chair of the CIBSE Knowledge Generation Panel, where she helps shape future industry guidance. She also volunteers with the Royal Academy of Engineering, engaging A Level students to explore innovative ways to heat City churches using waste heat sources.
