Keeping young people and youth workers safe and engaged.

With everything indicating a spike in the coming weeks we need to consider ways of engaging with young people, ensuring detached work can take place safely and effectively and how funders can support new ideas and changes to provision.
Speakers will look at the following topics:
IGNITE Trust and the Metropolitan Police
Focus on street crime and gang related activity and looking at Police intelligence locally, experience and oversight since the start of Covid 19.
Young Brent Foundation - Looking at detached and outreach youth work through the lens of informal education, youth voice and contextual safeguarding.
Federation of Detached Youth Work and the GLA/Young Londoners Fund
Looking at the wider picture, including the training and support needed to adapt to generic outreach services effectively and professionally. Thinking about wrap around provision, flexibility in funding and programme planning for future delivery.
