You are invited to join our webinar discussion “Financial Education for Girls – Why Context Matters”, that will take place on March 28th, 9.00am EDT.

Eva Halper, Head of the Global Education Initiative at Credit Suisse, and Aukje te Kaat, Research Manager at Aflatoun International, will present the findings of a recent literature review into financial education programs, as well as share the future work of their partnership with Plan International.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Credit Suisse’s Global Education Initiative’s Financial Education for Girls program was launched in June 2014 with partner organizations Plan International and Aflatoun International. The program is currently delivered in Brazil, China, India and Rwanda; providing approximately 100,000 girls with financial education and life skills and empowering the next generation of girls and young women to achieve better futures for themselves and their communities.

Parallel to the program implementation, the partners are conducting research in the area of financial education for adolescent girls. The aim is to make recommendations for development practitioners and national policy makers. The findings are expected to inform the creation of new programs by indicating critical success factors needed for programs targeting girls’ financial education.
