Webinar: Horizon 2020/BBI JU's Call - Local & regional bioeconomy projects
Wed 29 June 2016, 11:00 – 12:30 CEST
The production of bio-based products (i.e. bio-based chemicals and plastics) from local renewable resources such as municipal solid waste, waste water, agricultural and forestry biomass can provide significant climate, environmental and economic benefits: e.g. reduce GHG emissions in comparison with fossil-based products, addressing issues related to municipal waste disposal, boost a local bio- and circular economy, creating jobs.
The 2016 Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU)'s Call for proposals aims at supporting the development of emerging value chains where local and regional stakeholders can have a role.
This webinar will focus on the BBI JU Call, with special reference on those topics looking at producing bio-based products from organic wastes. In addition, two case studies of biorefineries will be presented (tbc).
