Following on from 'Part 1: Establishing Foundations', this webinar builds on the previous topics to begin to craft the scope or the outputs of the project.

It considers methods for: identifying and managing different expectations; establishing and articulating the rationale, or purpose driving a project; and explores methods of defining critical success criteria upon which our work will be judged.

Furthermore, it addresses the challenges of doing this within a setting (such as research) where frequently scope has to be flexible, changeable and the end point sometimes lacks clarity.

By the end of this 2-hr webinar participants will have:

• Considered techniques for defining the scope of a project

• Learned methods for identifying and managing differing project expectations

• Been shown techniques to establish goals and deliverables to guide them through the project execution phase.

This session offers opportunities to gain skills in Research management, outlined in the RDF subdomains C2.
