About this Event

Presenter: Dr Fraser Robertson, Fistral Training& Consultancy

During the third session of this series, this webinar looks at the process of creating a rigorous and robust project plan.

Having defined the purpose, requirements and expectations in previous webinars, we now look at identifying the tasks required to complete the project, before considering sequencing and scheduling the activities.

It examines methods of estimation in an uncertain environment before considering appropriate resource planning.

By the end of this 2-hour webinar participants will have:

• Been introduced the work breakdown structure tool which is fundamental in the planning process

• Considered methods that allow the introduction of uncertainty into task estimates

• Been shown sequencing and resourcing techniques, and how to create a Gantt chart “properly” so it becomes a useful tool and not just a paper exercise!

This session offers opportunities to gain skills in Research management, outlined in the RDF subdomains C2.

This online event presented by Dr Fraser Robertson and will run using the online video conferencing tool Zoom.

Please complete here a short registration form to register for this session! You are strongly advised to use your University of Liverpool email  to register on Eventbrite. All Fistral webinars are setup with strict access and security features. We reserve the right to remove registrations of attendees who do not appear to be members of this University.

In these unusual times, we appreciate some people are understandably having difficulties and challenges that take priority. Hence, even though this is a series, our intention is that each event will stand alone, so you don't have to attend all three, although you are very welcome to.
