Presenting your research in poster form is common practice at academic conferences in many disciplines, particularly in the Sciences. The format is often the easiest way to get your research accepted for presentation at such conferences and offers an early opportunity to share your research with the wider community and make useful networking contacts.

However, what makes a good poster and how do you make the most of the poster presentation at the conference? During this short, interactive session, we will aim to address the following topics:

  • What is the purpose of the poster session at conferences?
  • How do you communicate your research most effectively in poster form?
  • What is a good poster design? How can you encourage peers to read your poster?
  • How to prepare for the discussions in the poster networking session.

Registration: You are recommended to use your University of Liverpool email to register on Eventbrite and then the calendar invitation will be added to your University calendar. We reserve the right to remove registrations of attendees who do not appear to be members of this University.
