Webinar: Presentations - Preparing an Elevator Pitch

Do you often find yourself in a situation where you need to briefly introduce yourself, in a manner that is both interesting and relevant and also emphases your own significant contributions? This is an 'elevator' pitch that you may use to introduce yourself at conferences or other meetings, in public engagement events or when meeting potential future employers.

This webinar precedes a short workshop where you can practice your 'pitch' and will help you prepare for attending that workshop. In the webinar we will discuss approaches to help you prepare pitches for different occasions, to help you review what you need to communicate, what others will want to hear and how reduce the technical language that is required to communicate research in detail. We will also assess how your voice and body can support your message.
