Over 22,000 cases of gynaecological cancers are diagnosed each year. Thanks to the increased understanding we have of how cancers develop and what their causes are, we know that many of these cancers affecting the female reproductive system can be prevented.
This leads to some very important questions – how can we reduce our own risk? How can we make sure any changes in our bodies are caught early? And how can we make sure everyone can access screenings and talk about cancer?
Join us for this webinar where Professor Dame Lesley Regan will be joined by Miss Stacey Bryan, Consultant Gynaecologist and Gynaecology Oncology Surgeon at Imperial College NHS Trust, and Rue Grewal, who will be sharing her experience of a gynaecological cancer diagnosis.
Topics they’ll explore include:
- What are gynaecological cancers and what are the symptoms?
- What can we do to reduce our risk of developing gynaecological cancer?
- What screenings are available?
- How can we make screenings and diagnosis more accessible?
Have a question for one of our speakers? Email education@wellbeingofwomen.org.uk before the event and they’ll do their best to answer your questions during the session. You can also ask questions during the webinar.
Please note that while they’ll do their best to answer questions, the panel won't be able to give personal medical advice or address individual cases.
The webinar will be recorded, so if you’re unable to attend it live, you can watch it back at a time that suits you. Register for the event and you'll receive an email with a link to the recording after the webinar.
