Event description

If you are an EPAO, you will need to design, test and set-up multiple end-point assessment instruments in-line with the standards (and assessment plans) you are approved to deliver.

Some of these assessment methods are new to apprenticeships, others will need to be designed differently.

We’re hosting an in-depth webinar series, taking EPAOs through the nine most common end-point assessment methods – the series will cover what each method is and how it is used; how you go about designing the assessment instruments; how to test your instruments to ensure validity, reliability and robustness; and how to support your assessors to deliver them effectively.

Each webinar will provide a good grounding in the theory, but also provide you with practical advice, actions and tools to help you put the theory into practice.

Who are these webinars for?

The webinar series has been designed for EPAO staff responsible for overseeing, designing, testing and setting up their assessment instruments for apprenticeship end-point assessment.

Facilitators and speakers

The webinar series will be facilitated by Chris Cherry, an SDN expert in end-point assessment. Chris holds a Masters in assessment theory and is well published in this area. Chris has been heavily involved in the development of new standards and assessment plans, as well as supporting many EPAOs and hundreds of individuals to prepare to deliver end-point assessment.

Why an SDN webinar series?

SDN are leading experts in the apprenticeship reforms - we've helped to set up some of the first EPAOs now offering end-point assessment, and we're the first registered centre in the UK approved to deliver the Level 3 End-Point Assessment qualification. We’ve supported over 3,000 apprenticeship staff, from 900 organisations, to help prepare to deliver apprenticeship standards and understand end-point assessment. We’ve also worked closely with over 70 of the trailblazer employer groups, giving us a unique insight into what is required. SDN also authored the Future Apprenticeships toolkit.

Where it is not possible for your organisation to pay for the full webinar series using a credit card, we are happy to accept invoices. Please click here to complete our invoice booking form. We are unable to accept invoice bookings for individual webinars (only via credit card online).
