Event Details

On 8th December Louise Mothersole - the UK National contact point for Horizon2020 - presented a webinar for KTN on The SME Instrument. In her 36 minute presentation, Louise laid out the steps companies should take to best demonstrate their credibility and ambition when applying for this Horizon 2020 fund to boost the competitiveness of SMEs in transport.

Over the next few months, in collaboration with the Knowledge Transfer Network, Louise will outline the opportunities available to UK organisations through a series of such webinars on applying for Horizon 2020 funding on the larger Mobility for Growth programme.

To support the preparation of proposals, the Transport Directorate of the European Commission's Research and Innovation Directorate-General is organising an Information Day on Monday 2 February 2015 from 9 AM till 6 PM (CET) in the Charlemagne building, rue de la Loi 170, Brussels.  The aim of the day is to inform potential participants about the next round of calls under the Smart, Green and Integrated Transport Challenge of the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for 2015.

Anyone can register for the event, but to save you the time and expense of travelling to Belgium Innovate UK’s National Contact Point for Transport, Louise Mothersole will be going and returning to tell us all about it in this webinar.

This is the second webinar in the series and will go through the larger Mobility for Growth programme.

Horizon2020 is the biggest EU Research and innovation programme with nearly €80BN of funding on offer until to 2020.

These sessions will deliver brief presentations of the surface transport, aviation and cross-cutting topics of the Transport challenge Work Programme for 2015, along with information on the Evaluation Guidelines and Rules for Participation covering all aspects from the submission of a proposal to the signature of a grant agreement.

Please register to join in on what promises to be an energising discussion.

Transport community at Knowledge Transfer Network

The mission of the Transport community on the Knowledge Transfer Network is to support the development of integrated, efficient and sustainable transport systems, by bringing together independent but interrelated organisations to stimulate innovation through knowledge transfer.

The KTN strategy is driven by market demand and supply-chain innovation; our work and programme priorities are set by the need for additionality, relevance, and neutrality.  Winthin the transport community, we aim to break down traditional silo thinking and encourage knowledge, skills and technology exchange within the domains of Intelligent Mobility and Energy Efficiency.

We help focus TSB investment, and manage stand-alone programmes to better exploit technology to improve transport and transport infrastructure in the UK and overseas.
