Event Details

This webinar is supported by DfE, through Children England and partners.

Social media matters. It's huge and still growing (Facebook users constitute the world's third biggest nation behind China and India), it can be a cost-effective way to engage, can complement your existing communications, drive traffic to your website and increase supporters.

But where do you start?  Whether you are already using social media - like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Youtube - this one hour webinar delivered by social media surgeon, Paul Webster, will show you how to get the most out of each tool for campaigning and raising your profile, for connecting with funders and policy-makers and social media best practices. Everything is possible!

Some of the topics we'll cover are:

  • what is social media and why it matters
  • what is social media good for and not so good for
  • how to get the most out of each tool
  • inspiration - what other people are doing with social media
  • planning for success - doing social media better
  • how much time to spend on social media

Please note - this event is only for third sector organisations.

Paul Webster is a social media surgeon with many years experience of helping  charities build communities and bringing people together.  You can find him @watfordgap.
