In this engaging, hands on webinar we exemplify practical strategies and suggestions for teaching fractions in order to develop strong conceptual understanding.

We will look at the developmental progression across Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2 exploring common misconceptions and laying firm foundations for the more complex fraction work that follows. Key models and images will be used to exemplify essential learning points and we will think critically about the examples and non-examples of various representations of fractions that we share with pupils.

The session is designed for maths leads and Y1 to Y4 primary teachers.
