Event description
As the country looks to recovery from COVID-19, this webinar will look at the role of hydrogen in green economic growth.

About this event

With the potential for hydrogen to decarbonise our homes, businesses and industry we will talk to some of the key partners at the forefront of developing a hydrogen economy in the UK.

Attendees will hear about HyNet, one of the country’s leading hydrogen and carbon capture utilisation and storage projects, Peel Environmental’s Protos site, where a UK first plastics waste to hydrogen facility is proposed, and plans by Alstom to develop hydrogen trains in Widnes.

The discussion will look at what’s needed to drive the hydrogen economy and how this can be a vital part of green recovery, driving jobs, investment and supply chain opportunities.

Join the North West Hydrogen Alliance as we bring together key speakers including:

  • Myles Kitcher, Managing Director at Peel L&P Environmental
  • Professor Joe Howe, Executive Director, Thornton Energy Research Institute, University of Chester and Chair of NWHA
  • Mike Muldoon, Head of Business Development, Alstom
  • John Egan, North West Regional Lead, Progressive Energy
  • Chair: Rebecca Eatwell, Font Communications
