SYNOPSIS
You can't design a loosely-coupled system just by focusing on the code. Coupling in software systems is neither purely technical nor constant. Different parts of your system will co-change at different times for business, organisational, and technical reasons. The items in your product backlog will determine which parts of your code change together.

The Sociotechnical Architecture Toolkit gives you a comprehensive suite of tools for designing and evolving software systems and the teams that build them. The toolkit contains principles, patterns, practices, processes and heuristics, which ensure you have a structured approach to design, where you always know what to do next and what questions to ask.

The toolkit contains some tools you may be familiar with, like Event Storming and Context Mapping, and others that might be new to you, including Strategic Domain Storytelling, The 3 Virtues of Modularity, and The Business Model Canvas. But most importantly, the toolkit organises all of these elements into a structured path so you can focus on modelling the best boundaries for your business and not worry about how to model.
