‘The Conversation’ is a freely available online resource of academic news and expert opinion written by academics and researchers. Covering a wide range of different subjects, the resource offers a useful resource when exploring subjects outside your field. However it also offers a PhD researchers opportunities for publishing, to communicate your research outside of your field and to add to your CV.

In this webinar we will introduce ‘The Conversation’, who reads it and how you might use it for your networking. Our main focus will then be on the publication process to discuss:

  • the type of article that is likely to be accepted and how to select your topic;
  • how to pitch your idea for publication and to submit your proposal;
  • and the process by which you work with the team from the conversation to create the finished article.

The session will be jointly led with two PhD Researchers who have been through the whole publication process. They will share their experiences and what they feel they gained most from the process.

This webinar offers opportunities to gain skills outlined in the RDF subdomains: A1, D2 and D3.

Registration: You are recommended to use your University of Liverpool email to register on Eventbrite and then the calendar invitation will be added to your University calendar. We reserve the right to remove attendees who do not appear to be members of this University.
