This webinar is designed to support teachers in planning for our Year 8 Scheme of Learning Autumn Block 4 Working in the Cartesian Plane.

We will focus on developing links between proportional representations, gradient, coordinates, and equations of lines. We will explore reasoning in the classroom using exemplar questions from the Scheme of Learning to demonstrate how it can be used to secure real depth of understanding for all. The session also considers misconceptions that students may have, how to uncover and address these, and how to work with mathematical vocabulary.

This webinar is full of practical ideas to use in the classroom to help students understand and use the Cartesian plane.
