Wee Green Screen - Kiss the Ground
Event Information
About this Event
Wee Green Screen is part of our campaign for Glasgow to become National Park City – a greener, healthier and wilder city for all citizens. With bars, restaurants and cinemas closed across our city once more we're running a series of online screenings of films from around the world with themes linked to the aims of the National Park City.
Our final screening is Kiss the Ground. Narrated and featuring Woody Harrelson, Kiss the Ground is an inspiring and groundbreaking film that reveals a groundbreaking solution to our climate crisis. Can we completely and rapidly stabilize Earth’s climate, restore lost ecosystems and create abundant food supplies just by regenerating the world’s soils? Using compelling graphics and visuals, along with striking NASA and NOAA footage, the film artfully illustrates how, by drawing down atmospheric carbon, soil is the missing piece of the climate puzzle. GNPC Group recently launched the first draft of our proposal for Glasgow to become a National Park City, and we’re looking for projects that support our vision. We hope the films and follow up discussions will help inspire ideas for action. Find out more at https://www.glasgownationalparkcity.org/
So... grab your favourite cinema snack and join us to look at how we can come together to take some crucial steps towards putting nature at the heart of everything we do.
