Wee Green Screen - The Story of Plastic
Event Information
About this Event
Wee Green Screen is a series of online screenings of films from around the world with themes linked to the aims of the National Park City. Each film will be followed by a short follow up discussion, including contributions from some of the filmmakers and environmental activists.
Film Number five is 'The Story of Plastic'. Featuring interviews with experts and activists on the front lines of the fight, The Story of Plastic reveales the disastrous consequences of the flood of plastic smothering ecosystems and poisoning communities around the world, and the global movement that is rising up in response. It takes a sweeping look at the man-made crisis of plastic pollution and the worldwide effect it has on the health of our planet and the people who inhabit it. Following the recent launch of our proposal for Glasgow to become a National Park City, we’re looking for projects that support our vision. We hope the films and follow up discussions will help identify ideas for action.
So... whether its sweet or salty, or sweet and salty, please pop some corn and join us to look at how we can work together to take some crucial steps towards putting nature and our future at the heart of everything we do.
