What you will learn:
Wee Play is a set of cards to encourage dialogue about issues relating to the Scottish independence referendum. You will have a chance, as part of a small group, to think about a range of topics relevant to the referendum and talk about a range of pro-independence and pro-union points.
Wee Play has been created by So Say Scotland, Open up and Edinethics ltd. Visit http://www.scotlandlovesdemocracy.org/ for more details.
- Enjoy considering a wide range of perspectives
- See commonalities and patterns and not just differences
- Increase the amount and level of dialogue about the referendum beyond the session
Stimulate enthusiasm for running Wee Play session(s) elsewhere
Why me? Why this subject?
I’m passionate about deliberative and participatory democracy. Anything that can encourage people to listen to each other’s views, share perspectives, make informed decisions, and get involved is a good thing from my point of view. Wee Play is a politically neutral, voluntary initiative and a good excuse for what should be a very interesting conversation. I am offering this session as an interested individual- I will act as “dealer” and “time-keeper” but what emerges is up to the group.
