About the tutors

Jo is the Education, Skills and Training Manager for The Orchard Project with 15 years experience of teaching at all levels. She teaches on and runs the accredited Certificate in Community Orcharding and also helps run the forest garden project in Finsbury Park, Edible Landscapes London, which she set up 10 years ago.

Lewis McNeill has worked on all aspects of urban orchards for ten years and has been trained by, and has pruned with some of the best in the business, from RHS to East Malling Reasearch Centre. Although the focus will be on pruning, with plenty of time for everyone to get stuck in, Lewis will also tie in considerations for planting, tree care and the permaculture 'holistic' approach to orcharding.

Feedback on past training

"Thank you so much for the course, it was brilliant. It was the most instructive and useful day as well as being a lot of fun. Really well run and informative" Josephine

"Thanks for a great pruning class! I was impressed with your knowledge of the subject and the way you organised the class. It was much more hands-on than previous pruning classes I've taken, and the hands-on part is essential for learning" Seth
