About this event

Home & Lifestyle • Home & Garden

This one-day workshop is an introduction to using the sustainable pattern cutting method of 'zero waste' – creating a garment using the whole width of the fabric. You will create a contemporary top for yourself in sizes UK 6-18.

You will be introduced to the reasons behind using zero waste, a sustainable garment which makes use of every piece of the fabric. We will then draft the pattern directly onto the garment and begin sewing. Confident sewers will be able to complete the top within the workshop, but there will also be instructions if you need to finish off your sewing at home, or wish to add additional finishing details, e.g. binding.

This workshop is suitable for you if you have made at least one finished garment before and are comfortable with using a sewing machine.
