Weekend Workshop: Techniques of the Tudors
Saturday 11 - Sunday 12 October 2014, 11.00 - 17.00
Inspired by the display The Real Tudors, join portrait artist Robin-Lee Hall on a journey through paint looking at the materials and methods of the Tudor artists. The two day course will cover the practicalities of transferring a drawing to a panel, making paint, pigments, colour mixing and tonal blending as well as looking at the painting styles of the time. Students will produce a small painting inspired by the display. Suitable for all abilities, all materials provided.
