Weekly Creative Writing Sessions

H ow many times have you thought, I have got a short story or a book in me? Well, I'm here to help you get started. The informal and structured sessions I run are specifically designed to give you the tips and skills to start or continue your journey to becoming a writer.

W e will focus on all the essential elements you will need: character development, storylines and plots, structure, effective use of the senses, realistic descriptions and settings, time, place, pace, dialogue, critique, perspective and style.

I n every session we will engage in challenging and interesting exercises to stimulate your imagination and develop your skills. We will also discuss practical advice on how to get going, " putting pen to paper", saving work, planning routine, discipline and structure.

V irago Women's Workshop is a place for women and girls to be inspired, to create, to gather and enjoy the support and company of a women only space.

The venue itself has step free access and assistance dogs are of course, welcome. Please contact us with any access barriers and we will do our best to support.
