By The University of Lancashire

Overview

Either they're labelled a risky quick fix or applauded as medical game changer, but what's the real picture?

Weight loss injections like Mounjaro and Wegovy are all over the news and our social media feeds. More and more people are dropping the pounds with the help of so called “skinny jabs”. But how do they actually work and, importantly, what are the risks? Is the increasing access to weight loss medications online a health crisis in the making or a revolution in how we can manage our own health? Our panel of experts will explore the science behind the stories and how weight loss injections are transforming the way we treat diabetes and obesity.
