After a tour of 8 European countries, the contemporary circus company MagdaClan is coming to Brussels from 10 to 13 November to offer a thought-provoking artistic experience on migration and global warming.

With this show, the artists want to engage the public in understanding the complex relationship between climate change and migration and create a movement of informed people ready to change their way of life and demand new development policies.

They will stage a dramatic representation of the climate crises taking place in different corners of the world, posing as whole populations brought to their knees by floods, melting Arctic permafrost, desertification and fires. How will the artists manage to deal with these realities, with only a few objects and words?

Après une tournée dans 8 pays d’Europe, la compagnie de cirque contemporain

MagdaClan vient poser ses valises du 10 au 13 novembre à Bruxelles pour vous proposer une expérience artistique riche de réflexions sur la migration et le réchauffement climatique.

Par ce spectacle, les artistes souhaitent engager le public à comprendre les relations complexes entre le changement climatique et la migration pour ainsi créer un mouvement de personnes informées, prête à changer de mode de vie et à exiger de nouvelles politiques de développement.

Ils mettront ainsi en scène une représentation dramatique des crises climatiques qui se déroulent aux différents coins de la planète, se faisant passer pour des populations entières mises à genoux par inondations, fonte du pergélisol arctique, désertification et incendies. Comment les artistes vont-ils réussir à traiter de ces réalités, avec seulement quelques objets et quelques mots ?

Na een tournee door 8 Europese landen komt het hedendaagse circusgezelschap

MagdaClan van 10 tot 13 november naar Brussel! Magdaclan zal een artistieke ervaring delen, die tot nadenken stemt, rond migratie en de opwarming van de aarde.

Met deze tentoonstelling willen de kunstenaars het publiek betrekken in het begrijpen van de complexe relatie tussen klimaatverandering en migratie.

Hiernaast streven ze ernaar een beweging op gang te brengen van geïnformeerde mensen die bereid zijn hun manier van leven te veranderen & een nieuw ontwikkelingsbeleid te eisen.

De artiesten zullen een voorstelling geven vol dramatiek rond de klimaatcrisissen die zich in verschillende delen van de wereld afspelen. Dit in de gedaante van hele bevolkingsgroepen die op de knieën worden gedwongen door overstromingen, smeltende Arctische permafrost, woestijnvorming en bosbranden.

The “weLAND” show, created by MagdaClan circus and FLIC Circus School, is part of the “Climate Of Change” project, co-founded by the European Union (#DEARProgramme) and led by We World onlus.

The “Climate Of Change Tour” will be from July to November 2021 between Greece, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, Germany, Italy, Portugal, France and Belgium.
