Event Information
About this event
Following 16 months of enforced Zoom sessions Castle Cary Choir, are once again back to live rehearsals and looking forward to returning to concert performances. Our first post-lockdown concert promises to be something special.
The choir, under the direction of Martin Emslie, will be performing at All Saints’ Church, Castle Cary on Friday 29th October at 7:30pm. They will be joined by some extra-special soloists. Tom Toomey is one of the top guitarists in the country, being the lead guitarist with “The Zombies” who were recently admitted to the American Rock Hall of Fame. Along with his wife, Cuban born pianist Milly Riquelme we will be treated to a musical feast.
The President of the choir, Malcolm Archer who was the Musical Director at Wells Cathedral and St Paul’s Cathedral need no introduction to many people in this area. He is acknowledged as being one of the top Church Musicians and Composers in the country. He will be delighting us with organ and Harpsichord playing.
The choir will be singing a variety of our most popular pieces which have been much loved and appreciated by audiences and the choir alike.
