Welcome Back - Inspiring HR Events
Wed 22 March 2017, 10:30 – 13:30 GMT
Are you a HR practitioner? Is it time to go back to work?
Returning to work can be daunting. How are you feeling? Excited, scared, positive, nervous? Whatever you are feeling someone else is too.
Join us and a network of your HR peers for an informal and practical session, designed to support you in your return to work. Whether you have been out of the workplace for a year, or longer, we can help to refresh your HR knowledge with employment law updates and interactive personal development skills workshops.
The employment law updates will be led by Andrew Howard, employment solicitor at Allen & Overy LLP and the interactive skills workshops will be led by Vanessa Johnson-Burgess, Director of HR Projects at Availexe. Andrew and Vanessa met last year when they were part of a panel discussing family rights and the balance between work and family life. It was over a coffee after that event that they decided to create a ‘return to work’ event for HR professionals who have been temporarily out of the workplace, whether as a result of family reasons or otherwise. This informal and inclusive event will support you in your return to work and give you an opportunity to connect with fellow HR peers.
Welcome Back will be run on a quarterly basis, with different content and guest speakers. We are hoping to create a community of likeminded HR professionals who can share their knowledge and experience in an open and understanding environment. We very much hope you can join us for this first event.
DATE:22 March 2017
