Welcome Cinema & Kitchen are inviting you all to what will be an amazing day filled with gorgeous cuisine, fabulous films & plenty of fun at our Summer Food & Film Festival, 19th August, Dalston Roof Park.

To tickle your fancy and wet your taste buds take a look at what we have in store...

BOOT YARD - Welcome Kitchen will host a selection of stalls serving food from the countries which make up this incredible community project. Ten nations including Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Iran, Palestine, Ivory Coast and Ethiopia. This delicious food produced to the standard of our main event at Amnesty, will be served up by the chefs themselves happy to talk about the background to their dishes.

THE BUNKER - Welcome Cinema presents a schedule of screenings curated by the refugees centres who attend our regular events. The films will be shown back to back with an introduction included for context.

THE BEE GARDEN - A schedule of family friendly events including live performances from The Akawaaba Choir, Praxis Poets and capoeira from Grupo Senzala London, as well as talks, kids activities, world music and local Hackney talent.

Doors open at 12pm with the day running until 6pm
