Join poet Gayathiri Kamalakanthan for a series of creative writing workshops inspired by Our Home, Our Legacy: Club Kali at 30, Islington Museum’s exhibition celebrating 30 years of the pioneering Queer South Asian space.
Together, we’ll explore themes of: homes away from home, dressing the self, and the power of dance within community. You’ll have the chance to respond to the reflections, clothing, photographs and objects that make up the exhibition.
Expect to leave with poems and fragments of writing that pulse with movement and connection. Open to all—no writing experience needed!
Please note: this first session will take place at Islington Museum in person. Session two will take place online for greater accessibility. Please feel free to sign up for both if interested!
