KWMC: The Factory will open its doors on Friday 28th October to the curious, playful and creative as part of the Crafts Council's Make:Shift:Do programme.
We're proud to be taking part in Make:Shift:Do - which is open to all and gives everyone the opportunity to try their hand at a new craft for the digital age.
From 10am-4pm we'll be showcasing our machinery, facilities, and projects old and new: drop in and explore the space, see our laser cutter, 3D printer and CNC router in action, and pick our brains about the weird and wonderful things that can be made using digital fabrication technology.
For those with a keen interest in fashion and technology, there will be an opportunity to try an 'Introduction to e-textiles' workshop from 2-4pm, run by Annie Lywood of Bonnie Binary, where you'll learn how to a construct a simple stitched circuit using conductive thread, within a laser cut badge.
You can drop in to see the space to have a look around at any time, but please let us know if you'd like to try the e-textiles workshop by reserving a free ticket.
Come along and discover something new!
