Description

Welcoming Cyclists - achieve business growth through attracting cyclists (maximum number 20)

Wednesday 4 October 1:00pm – 4;00pm (commencing with lunch and networking on arrival 1:00pm - 1:30pm)

YHA Hartington Hall, Hall Bank, Hartington SK17 0AT

With guest speaker: Susie Brindley of Willow Business Support Limited www.willowbusinesssupport.co.uk Susie has delivered numerous "Cyclists Welcome" workshops, including for Yorkshire for the Tour de France - Grand Depart 2014.

Aimed at accommodation and other tourism businesses in the vicinity of popular Peak District cycle trails, this stimulating course will help provide a higher quality experience for the growth markets of cyclists.

Rural tourism is a growing sector of the tourism industry and an important aspect of the rural economy throughout England. Day trips, short breaks and holidays that include cycling are growing in popularity with both domestic and international visitors.

Cyclists are therefore a vital sector of the market for many accommodation and other tourism businesses located in rural areas, and one that it is worthwhile to attract and encourage to return.

This workshop has been developed to provide guidance on meeting the criteria of Pedal Peak for Business grants, as well as to provide a broader appreciation of the value, character and requirements of the cycling market, and the wider changes occurring in rural tourism. It is also designed to highlight local opportunities for cycling, and offer practical tips on product development and marketing to enable SME Visitor Economy businesses within Derbyshire to maximise the benefits.

Places limited. Book your place today!
