About this event

Story is a wonderful tool for enabling exploration of the unfamiliar and can be a powerful stimulus for change. Learn how you can bring story into your practice, and gain greater confidence with using imagination to facilitate change with your clients. This 3 session online course introduces you to the Hungry Ghosts - unprocessed parts of ourselves - and a creative approach to guiding your clients in using imagination to refresh perspectives and gain new insights.

You will practice:

• Techniques for externalisation of inner knowledge and experience.

• Skills for stimulation of curiosity about the unfamiliar and unknown.

• Use of relevant rules and structures of story in exploration of personal narrative.

You can expect to gain:

A creative approach to add to your practice.

Greater confidence in using illustration and image with your clients.

A deeper understanding of the way that story allows us to explore new possiblities.

AND a unique set of 4 artist-created character illustrations with instructions for safe use in your practice.

Session One: Tuesday 5th October, 10-1 BST

Imagination and wisdom: finding new perspectives and listening for imagery.

Session Two: Wednesday 6th October, 10-1 BST

What works and how: character illustration and rules of story.

Session Three: Thursday 7th October, 10-1 BST

Application within your practice: characters, imagery and ease with improvisation.
