Join the WelfareExperiences team during Challenge Poverty Week in Scotland as we publish the first report from a 5-year, European Research Council funded, comparative research project on experiences of social security in UK, Estonia, Hungary, Norway and Spain.

This webinar will be an opportunity to hear UK-based and international findings from the project as we publish the first findings from this research drawing on lived experience evidence with people receiving Universal Credit in Scotland and England. Join us to hear from civil society organisations, Inclusion Scotland and the APLE Collective, on how experiences and interactions with the social security system make people feel and to find out more about the WelfareExperiences project.

Speakers will include - Pauline Nolan (Inclusion Scotland), Ben Baumberg Geiger (Kings College London), Trude Sundberg (University of Kent), Tracey Herrington (APLE Collective), Laura Robertson (Poverty Alliance) & Mark Simpson (Ulster University).

The WelfareExperiences project is a partnership project involving Inclusion Scotland, APLE Collective, Poverty Alliance, and academic leads Ben Baumberg Geiger (Kings College London) and Trude Sundberg (University of Kent) in the UK. The overarching aim of the WelfareExperiences project is to achieve a paradigm shift in comparative welfare research to focus on the experience of receiving benefits.
