About this event

Being a parent or caregiver is rewarding – but it’s also one of the hardest jobs there is. It’s easy to put ourselves at the bottom of the priority list, and before we know it, stress and mental health can start to take a toll.

Join us for this online session, created especially for parents and carers, where we’ll take time to focus on you.

Our friendly HENRY facilitators will guide you through:

  • Understanding the feelings and needs behind both children’s behaviour and your own
  • Sharing real experiences and building realistic expectations and coping strategies
  • Tackling feelings of guilt or failure that many of us carry
  • Exploring practical ways to reduce stress and lighten the mental load of family life

This is your space to pause, reflect, and find support. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed or just want some time to focus on your well-being, you're warmly invited. Let’s prioritise our well-being – together.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this workshop for?

This session is for any parent or carer who feels overwhelmed, stressed, or just in need of a pause. You don’t need to be struggling to benefit.

Do I have to talk or share personal experiences?

No – you’re welcome to listen only if that’s what feels right. Sharing is encouraged but never expected.

What if my child is with me during the session?

That’s absolutely fine. We understand parents are busy – you’re welcome to join with children in the background.

How long is the session?

The session is usually 1 hour and includes time for reflection, discussion, and practical tips.

Do I need my camera on?

We’d love to see you, but there’s no pressure. Keeping your camera off is totally ok, if that makes you more comfortable.

Is this therapy or counselling?

No – this is a supportive, group-based wellbeing session. It's not a replacement for mental health treatment, but a space to focus on your emotional health as a parent.

What will I get from it?

You’ll leave with new insights, practical strategies, and the reassurance that you’re not alone in how you’re feeling.

Is the session free to attend?

Yes! All of our HENRY workshops are free to attend.
