Course overview

The course is designed to prepare personnel who know how to behave in the presence of a kick or blow out, discussing how to recognize a kick in place and safely carry out procedures for the closure of the well. The course will cover the different pit erupting control methods used by the major oil companies, starting from main methods such as the driller's method and the wait-and-weight method, and ending with the compilation of the kill sheet based on different depths of the well and the drilling location of the battery in the free hole.

We are running this course this year in London, Istanbul, Kuala Lumpur, Atyrau and Cairo.

The course is designed for

Individuals in sedimentary geology and petroleum geology who are currently involved in development or exploration of carbonate reservoirs e.g. geologists, geophysicists, drilling engineers, reservoir engineers.
