Carecall in association with Regus and Age Scotland invite you to attend a series of workshops which will be running in November 2016 around the topic of wellbeing in the workplace.
An Introduction to Stress Management
This introductory workshop aims to help participants become knowledgeable about the nature of stress, its management and prevention. Defining stress and how it differs from work pressure will be covered, with participants learning how to recognise stress in themselves and their colleagues and develop preventative skills in managing stress.
An Introduction to Building Resilience
Emotional resilience refers to one’s ability to adapt to stressful situations or crises. This introductory workshop aims to help participants gain an understanding of emotional resilience, appreciate the importance of personal support and recognise the significance of personal strengths.
Dementia in the Workplace
Dementia is a workplace issue. Around 90,000 people in Scotland live with dementia, a number that will double in the next 25 years. As changes to retirement and state pension rules make working beyond age 65 common more people will experience early symptoms of dementia while in employment. Many workers are also unpaid carers for someone who has dementia. This workshop is based on, and offers a taster of, short courses available from Age Scotland’s Early Stage Dementia Project: Becoming a dementia aware workplace (half day course) and Dementia, law and workplace good practice (half day course).
