This course is exclusively for Livewell Southwest Staff and is run over 2 and a half hours.
It is estimated that one in six employees are depressed, anxious or suffering from stress–related problems at any one time. Sometimes work can trigger or exacerbate such issues, but this can be dealt with effectively by fostering wellbeing and sustaining good mental health.
This 2-and-a-half hour session is aimed at staff with line manager responsibilities, and aims to:

Provide the skills, knowledge and information to support employees who may be struggling with their mental health and wellbeing,

To foster a culture that is supportive and prevents stress related sickness absence.

To gain a better understanding of the effects of stigma and discrimination related to mental ill health.

To provide signposting information to support the line manager in their role.

To identify the organisational policies that support the employee and line manager.
