Description

Wellbeing at Work

The Wellbeing at Work course is a new half-day training session for anyone within the Metropolitan Police Service interested in learning more about mental health in the workplace.

This course is for all who would like to improve their knowledge around mental health problems, where to seek support, and how to support a colleague experiencing a mental health problem.

Learning objectives

Participation in the course will encourage:

  • Improved awareness and understanding of mental health at work and how work can affect emergency services staff and volunteers.

  • Awareness of the signs of mental ill health.

  • Understanding of how to initiate a conversation about mental health and how to handle disclosure.

  • Knowledge of resilience techniques to enable you to stay well at work.

  • Understanding of how and where to proactively seek support.
