A unique opportunity get Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Endorsement as a Wellbeing Coach.

Wellbeing coaching has emerged as a fresh approach to health improvement, enhancing motivation and commitment to healthy behaviours. This programme is aimed at those who would like to develop their understanding and practical skills in coaching adults and young people to achieve their own wellbeing. It can support lifestyle changes or prevent exacerbations of chronic illness.

Course description

This 2 day ILM Endorsed programme will help you to empower clients with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to make necessary lifestyle and behavioural changes to improve their health and quality of life.

The course covers key areas including:

  • Core wellbeing coaching skills
  • Readiness for change
  • Motivation
  • Improving self-esteem
  • Lifestyle changes
  • Action planning
  • A range of wellbeing coaching tools and techniques to use
  • The link between wellbeing and human spirituality

There are two options for this programme;

1. ILM Endorsed Programme - complete a short assignment following the programme and you will receive a Certificate from the Insitiute of Leadership and Management on successful completion to recognise you for your work. Cost £520 +VAT

2. Attendance Only Programme - if you would rather not have the assignment you can do the attendance only version of the programme where you attend the two days only. Cost £420 +VAT

This programme is designed to help those new to this area in coaching; working in schools, nurseries, health, wellness consultants, health advocates, and other healthcare professionals to learn to perform wellbeing coaching, and other services to their clients who need support.

Tutor Profile

Brenda McKay Senior tutor RN, DipN, MBA, ILM L7, FISQC

As a previous Director of Clinical Programmes & Chief Nurse of Cromwell Hospital in London, Brenda has many years of experience in providing coaching as a fundamental solution to staff performance, collegiality, morale and support. She was a board member with responsibilities for 65% of a multidisciplinary and trans-cultural workforce which included senior clinical & non clinical managers, team leaders and staff.

She was responsible for setting strategic direction, ensuring management capacity and capability, to monitor and manage performance. In her capacity as senior tutor at BSC, she now uses these experiences and qualifications to deliver coaching and mentoring workshops as well as the ILM Level 7 Certificate in Executive Management.
