The role of mindfulness in supporting these vital areas in workplace and life.
An Interactive session around Mindfulness for Wellbeing which will enable you to take away some practical tools to support yourself and your organisation. Why mindfulness? A brief view of the general pressures within workplaces and life more widely. What is Mindfulness; a basic sense of what it is and dong some! A link to Neuroscience and the evidence base for using mindfulness. What are the potential benefits; wellbeing, performance and relating to others.

Some case studies – with breakout sessions to explore the pressures in your workplace/life. Practical takeaways for @Work and @Home

Facilitator for the event - Martin Summerfield

Martin is a Mindfulness trainer who works with organisations to create interventions that support resilience, performance and effective team working. Martin has worked with private, public and voluntary sector organisations to deliver mindfulness and has undertaken training in both Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for the general public (with Bangor University) and more specific workshops to support mindfulness in the workplace ( with Oxford University). Martin is registered with the UK Network of Mindfulness Based Teachers adheres to their Good Practice Guidelines. Recent clients have included EDF (nuclear power), Beaverbrooks (retail) and current work involves companies in the financial services sector. Martin and his family live in Kendal. He has a meditation practice stretching back over 15 years and enjoys lake swimming and hill running. For more information and recent blog entries see his website anchorpoint.org.uk
