Event description
This one-hour workshop will explore the meaning of resilience and how to take steps to build resilience in your own life.

About this Event

Resilience has many definitions but broadly speaking it is the “not just the ability to bounce back, but our capacity to adapt in the face of challenging circumstances whilst maintaining a stable mental wellbeing” -Mind.

There are many wide-ranging challenges that international students may face throughout their academic journey.

In this workshop we will give international students the chance to explore what resilience looks like to them. We will introduce the key tenants of resilience and how they can be developed, enabling students to manage adversity and challenges more effectively in the future. We will also discuss what help is available to support students at the University. This workshop is specifically aimed at international students and will provide the opportunity to share experiences and to discuss ways of developing their own resilience."
