Wellbeing Through Art: How Creativity Reduces Stress

Take a mindful break and discover how art can positively impact both mind and body.

Mini Talk & DiscussionIn a short 10-minute introduction, we’ll explore the science behind how making art can lower stress levels and benefit physical health. We’ll also share reflections on how we feel before and after creating together.

Practical Art Session – Charcoal Reduction with Shells & FeathersYou’ll then try out charcoal reduction, a playful and slightly messy technique that produces bold, dramatic results. Using natural forms such as shells and feathers, we’ll experiment with light and shadow, learning how to emphasise highlights and create striking contrasts in a fun and accessible way.
