Frequently asked questions

How long is the walk?

This is NOT a hike! The entire walk is scheduled for approx. 2 to 2.5 hours with rest points at intervals along the way. Finish time may vary due to weather conditions, general walking pace… and, how much magic nature wishes to share with us.

Is there parking available?

Yes - very limited parking is available. If you are attending with a friend or friends, please car share where possible.

Are there toilet facilities available?

No - there are no facilities in the immediate area

Are children & dogs allowed?

Due to insurance restrictions this is an adult only (over 18s) walk and NO dogs are permitted to ensure the comfort of ALL participants.

What should I wear?

We will walk in most weather conditions - please dress according to the weather forecast for the day and bring additional layers or items (i.e. sunscreen, insect repellent, etc). No sandals or flip flops!

Can I bring refreshments?

You are welcome to bring a flask of hot or cold drink and a few snacks (not a picnic though!) Please do bring water at the very least for refreshment. It is recommended to bring something to sit on that is light to carry… a bin liner will do!

Do I need to be physically fit?

Whilst the walk is slow & gentle, a basic level of physical health is required. Please consult a GP or Health Care Professional prior to booking if you are unsure. The walk leader reserves the right to refuse attendee participation where participant risk to health or safety is considered.

Is this walk accessible for all?

This walk does have designated trails, however these may not be accessible for wheelchair users or people with mobility restrictions. Some areas of the walk may have inclines and / or declines & muddy in places. Walk Leader reserves the right to cancel anytime if conditions are considered unsafe.
