Event description
Join Jim Woods and Zoe Eccleston as they conduct a wellbeing exit interview with Charlie Jacobs, the outgoing Senior Partner at Linklaters.

About this event

Charlie has had a highly successful tenure as the Senior Partner and Chairman of Linklaters, one of the UK’s magic circle law firms. This is an opportunity to get Charlie’s reflections on the future for wellbeing on his second last day with the firm.

Like the broader professional services sector, the legal sector is in the spotlight for having higher levels of mental distress than the broader population. Charlie has been a LawCare champion and pioneered holistic wellbeing support, but where does the sector go next?

We’ll explore areas such as;

- What are the risks and rewards a leader can expect when pushing wellbeing as an issue?

- What are the wellbeing initiatives that Linklaters has done during his tenure, and what has been most impactful?

- Is the billable hours business model an elephant in the room, and are there any variations that could emerge over time?

- With US firms coming into the UK market, offering higher salaries for longer hours, is there a risk that this will add greater stress to the legal business model?

- What advice would you give to HR and Wellbeing folks, who want to influence leaders and executive teams?
