WellFest for Expecting & New Mums

WellFest for Expecting Mums brings together mums-to-be & new mums with local health and wellness practitioners. Our aim is to support you on your journey through pregnancy and early motherhood, providing you with the tools to take care of yourself before, during and after pregnancy - both physically and emotionally.

Our wellness days are filled with informational workshops from a wealth of experts, pre/post natal fitness, relaxation and healthy eats - everything you need to enjoy a healthy and happy pregnancy and journey into motherhood. You'll leave feeling informed and empowered to nurture yourself, your baby, and your growing family.

What happens at WellFest for Expecting Mums?

  • Exciting guest speakers share their knowledge and expertise in a relaxed setting. We cover a wide range of topics including nutrition, yoga, fitness, hypnobirthing, meditation, reflexology, women's health physio, chiropractic care, breast feeding, self care, bonding and relationships, & baby sleep.

  • Nourish your body with delicious, healthy foods provided by The Juice Smith in Cobham.

  • Learn guided breathing and meditation techniques for childbirth.

  • Participate in pre & post-natal yoga sessions.

  • Follow guided core work to strengthen and support.

  • Indulge in mini massage sessions and reflexology consultations.

  • Meet and mingle with other local mums-to-be & new mums.

  • Chat one-on-one with our expert wellness practitioners.

Who are the wellness experts?

Zoe Cowell-Jones is a Women's Fitness Specialist, offering personal or small group training for mums and mums-to-be. Zoe focuses on core connection and function, building fitness and strength for life as a mum, and post-natal fat loss.

Catherine Lippe is a Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) and an expert in paediatric and maternal nutrition. Accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN) Catherine has over 10 years’ experience as a nutritionist and has worked for the NHS, Public Health England, BUPA and independent nutrition consultancies. Catherine’s areas of nutrition expertise include pregnancy, breastfeeding and new mums, weaning, fussy eating, early years’ nutrition, school meals and weight management.

Nicky Herringshaw of Total Health Physio is a musculoskeletal and women's health/pelvic floor physio. She is passionate about helping women understand their body and how it changes during pregnancy and post natally and will help guide you to a stronger and healthier body.

Alison Fuller is a Reflexologist, Fertility Massage Therapist, and Hypnotherapist. She specialises in treating hormonal imbalance in relation to Fertility, Pregnancy, Miscarriage, Menopause and any of the associated emotional and physical stresses that accompany these issues.

Catherine Silcock is a BCA and GCC registered Chiropractor with 17 years of experience specialising in the treatment of pregnant women, babies and children. She is also trained in cranial therapy (and has taught in this field) which she can use as a compliment to chiropractic care in all age groups.

Sophia Smythe-Davis is a local Hypnobirth practitioner and runs a free-to-attend positive birth group. She is passionate about empowering women along with their birth partners to work as a team and have the best possible birth for them no matter what the circumstances or turn of events. Hypnobirth is a logical and practical tool to use in the lead up to and during your birth. It empowers you with tools and knowledge to make the best possible decisions for you and your family.

Katy Huyerman is a Certified Baby and Child Sleep Consultant and is passionate about helping families to get the sleep they need. Her extensive training has equipped her with the tools and knowledge to educate parents on how to help their little ones sleep and nap well. Katy offers antenatal and newborn education sessions individually or in groups. She also offers bespoke, gentle sleep solutions where things have gone off track and families need support to improve their baby, toddler or child’s sleep.

Angela Horler & Tami Wright of North Surrey Midwives are passionate and committed midwives who believe in women’s innate ability to birth their babies and that birth is a normal and empowering process. They envisage that all women should be supported to birth their babies in a unique and triumphant way (regardless of mode of birth), with love and support to prepare them on their parenting journey.

Nicola Reed of Overtones Massage is a remedial, myofascial and pregnancy massage therapist with over 22 years experience. She first qualified in pregnancy massage in 2008 and wanting to know more completed a diploma in pregnancy massage in 2010. She is highly skilled in treating many different kinds of problems that can arise during pregnancy from general aches and pains to the more challenging pubis synthesis disorder. She has a busy client led paractice in Weybridge and the Barron clinic in Walton.

Olivia Mason of Body & Mind Flow Yoga completed a 200 yoga teacher training in 2012 and a pregnancy and postnatal yoga training the same year. She has been sharing these learnings with mums and mums to be ever since. Olivia also taught and practiced yoga regularly through both her pregnancies so has personal experience of how helpful pregnancy yoga is with managing the physical and mental aspects of pregnancy and birth.

Claire Walder is an experienced and multi award winning photographer specializing in maternity and newborn photography. She creates beautiful, classic and timeless images capturing memories of a most precious time in your life to be treasured forever.

Catherine Gibson is a Nurse and Health & Wellness Coach specialising in pregnancy. She works with women before, during, and after pregnancy to make simple and sustainable changes to meet their wellness goals. She focuses on the whole self and a balanced life, including healthy eating, moving the body, lowering stress, bonding, self care, finding joy, and feeling good.


Who can attend the event?

Expecting mums and new mums with babies up to 4 months (aka the "4th trimester") are welcome to attend as the event is tailored especially to these phases of pregnancy.

What is included with my full day ticket?

Access to all workshops and talks with our experts, one-on-one chats, mini prenatal massage and reflexology sessions, breakfast, lunch, snacks, & cold pressed juice from the Juice Smith, and a generous goody bag.

What is included in the morning only ticket?

This ticket includes all sessions from 9:15-12:30 plus breakfast, snacks, time to chat with our practitioners, and a generous goody bag to take home with you.

Do I need to attend all of the talks?

No- WellFest is designed so you take in exactly what you want to. Sit in on as many sessions as you like, of if you prefer to skip some, take the time to chat with some of our practitioners, take a walk, indulge youself with some mini treatments, or have a rest and a snack.

Do I need to participate in the prenatal fitness and yoga sessions?

These sessions are completely opional. If you're not feeling up to it, that's ok! There will be plenty for you to do while they are going on.

Will there be time for me to chat with the practitioners?

Yes, our practitioners want to meet you and answer your questions. We are all available throughout the day and will be around for an hour after the event as well.

What should I wear?

If you would like to participate in the gentle pre-natal yoga and fitness sessions, wear something comfortable.

Can I bring my baby?

yes! New mums are welcome to bring their little ones who are up to 4 months old.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The Harmony Centre is in the heart of Walton-upon-Thames. Street parking and permited parking is availale directly across the street and there are local car parks nearby.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
