KEF and re:sonate Present: The Big Questions
Wellness in Music: How can musicians balance creativity, career pressures and mental health?
The pressures of a music career today extend far beyond the stage — from financial precarity and constant self-promotion to the physical and mental toll of performance. This panel explores how musicians can sustain their wellbeing in an industry that often normalises burnout. We’ll discuss the science of how music itself can be a tool for regulation and resilience, alongside the systemic challenges that impact artists’ mental health. With insights from neuroscience, grassroots support networks, and groundbreaking academic research, our panel will reframe how we think about wellness in music, asking: what practical steps can artists, institutions and communities take to build healthier creative lives?
