This is a lesser known 3 peak challenge when compared with the national 3 peaks and also the Yorkshire 3 peaks events – nonetheless what the Welsh 3 peaks lacks in popularity it certainly makes up for in dramatic and breathtaking views and scenery. Arguably some of the best views in the UK!
The start and finish point for the 3 peaks challenge will be held in Llanberis, Snowdonia.
Whats involved in the 3 peaks challenge?
The welsh 3 peaks challenge involves climbing 3 of Wales’ most iconic mountains in 3 different areas of the country – North, Mid and South Wales
Snowdon 1085m – The highest mountain in both England and Wales situated in the North.
Cadair Idris 893m – Sits to the south of the Snowdonia national park near the town of Dolgellau situated in Mid Wales.
Pen y Fan 896m – The highest peak of South Wales and also the highest British peak south of Cadair Idris.

A fully qualified mountain leader and qualified remote first aider every step of the way.
Refreshments during the challenge
Transport from Llanberis along the route and back to Llanberis once completed
A celebratory breakfast for each finisher.
