Welsh Significance Programme: How to conduct a significance audit

Join Sporting Heritage’s Fran Stovold, for the second of five linked sessions which will give you the skills and understanding to undertake your own significance assessment. Each session will build your knowledge but can also be viewed as stand alone sessions. All sessions will be recorded and be available to watch back via the Sporting Heritage YouTube channel.

This second session will focus on conducting a collections review. As part of this we will outline what you need to have in place before you embark on the Significance Audit part of the Significance Assessment process. We will look at in more detail at the Significance Audit paperwork (available on the Sporting Heritage website) and discuss the individuals steps which are laid out as follows:

• Step 1 – Your starting point
• Step 2 – What you know about your collection’s breadth
• Step 3 – The context of your collection
• Step 4 – Discussing significance against your chosen criteria
• Step 5 – Assigning significance against your chosen criteria

Ymunwch â Fran Stovold o Sporting Heritage, am yr ail o bum sesiwn gysylltiedig a fydd yn rhoi'r sgiliau a'r ddealltwriaeth i chi gynnal eich asesiad arwyddocâd eich hun.
