Wembley Park Presents: Art in the Park with Laxmi Hussain

Join us this summer at Wembley Park for Art in the Park, a free series of open-air Life Drawing classes led by acclaimed resident artist Laxmi Hussain.

Laxmi has worked with the likes of Tate, Royal Academy of Arts, Cubitts, Vans and Soho House and is known for her vibrant, expressive work and commitment to making art accessible to all. These relaxed morning sessions invite you to switch off, explore new materials, and enjoy the simple joy of drawing in a playful, welcoming setting.

Held in the beautiful Elvin Gardens Amphitheatre, surrounded by public art, wild meadows and leafy trees, each class features a (clothed) life model and is open to all – no experience needed.

You’ll be guided through a range of techniques to help you capture movement, emotion, and the human form.

All materials provided (you're welcome to bring your own too).

Children welcome – under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.A limited number of drop-in spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Basic materials (paper, pencils, boards) are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Feel free to bring your own sketchbook or tools if you prefer.

The sessions are led by acclaimed London-based artist Laxmi Hussain, known for her expressive line work and accessible teaching style. Laxmi has collaborated with the likes of Tate, Royal Academy of Arts, and H&M Home. Laxmi's studio is based in Wembley Park at Second Floor Studios & Arts.

We’re British – we adapt! Light rain: the session will go ahead as planned. In case of forecast heavy rain or storms, we’ll contact all sign-ups one day in advance with details about either postponement or an alternative nearby indoor venue.
